I love to swing on this too...but my granchildren are on it every time they visit...it swings across the entire yard. We hung it from the Oak tree out back....I love this.
 Hours of fun, but will need parts to assemble October 19, 2005
I was glad to have read earlier reviews which explained the absence of hardware with this item (the swings come with rope, but no hanging mechanisms). We bought two swings for our twin daughters and replaced the ropes with chains which cost us about $50 at the local hardware store. Still, it was money well spent since our kids absolutely LOVE their new swings and spend literally hours on them each day. The vinyl seats are very comfortable, much better than the molded plastic seats that are available elsewhere.

My grandchildren were very pleased with the new swing attached to our ancient oak tree. It provided swinging for the entire visit to Grandma and Grandpa for a range of ages.

I replaced the ropes with chain (using large S hooks to connect) and slipped clear, plastic protective tubing around the top of each chain to protect the large oak branches it was going to go over. It worked beautifully. I made a good product even better. I love the swing (and so do our neighbor's children)!
 No hardware and no mention of that in description! June 3, 2005

I wish I had seen the most recent customer review! The swing does not include any hardware to attach it to a chain. I am very disappointed and will be returning it. This should have been indicated in the description provided by the manufacturer.
